A Fast Changing Market
The academic job market in Europe is changing fast. Departments advertize less and less jobs for philosophers, while opportunities for third-party funding are multiplying.
At the same time, not all European institutions adequately instruct Ph.D. students about how to write an application, nor do they usually give directions as to where job advertisements or calls for applications can be found. Advice on other websites is often addressing students who wish to apply to institutions outside Europe (generally, the US).
This site is here to fill the gap.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a support platform for Ph.D students and recent Ph.D. graduates who are considering starting a career in academic philosophy in a European institution. We wish to connect peers from different areas of Europe so they can exchange information, share experiences and offer guidance to each other.
