Our Early Career Workshops

We have already organized a number of Early Career Workshops and plan on organizing more.

Workshop Format

The workshops are invitation-based (at least so far); they are intended as occasions for showcasing the speakers' research but also as occasions for open discussion about career prospects in the current job market. Accordingly, we devote one or two sessions to the topic of career planning, with ample space for students questions and exchange of information between researchers at different stages of their career.

Past Events

2020 - The Fourth EECP Early Career Workshop took place at the University of Tartu (Estonia) in 2020.

2019 - The Third EECP Early Career Workshop took place on May 13-15 2019 in Bratislava, Slovakia.

2018 - The Second EECP Early Career Workshop took place on February 23-24, 2018 at the University of Rijeka, Croatia.

2017 - The First EECP Early Career Workshop took place in February 2017 at the University of Vienna.

Interested in hosting?

If you are interested in hosting one of the next EECP workshops, please get in touch.

No substantive funding availability is needed to organize the workshop, for the invited speakers are kindly asked to fund their own travel and accommodation.

However, if the workshop's host-chapter has the opportunity to apply for further funding, we can offer our support with the application.
